Ah JJ…He’s always the one I hear about falling on stage. ^^;;
And uh…I love the beat of Mission but the lyrics just…-.-; I just gained secondhand embarrassment reading the lyrics to Chunnie’s rap. It doesn’t make sense and it doesn’t help that the English was spelt wrong. What were you thinking boy? Lol…
A dictionary and Microsoft Word are your friends. That and your English speaking fans =D! Lol…Chunnie could always just tweet his lyrics and get autocorrection from his fans. I’m sure they’re more than willing LMAO.

the rap..omg..the rap! is it possible to somehow, u know get them to change it?..it’s not like it’s too late right?..

it’s funny that i can understand his rap..
maybe because i take literature in my uni..
but there’s quite a lot of misspelling..
and i blamed it on the person who made it..
not only in this new song but also in their “the Beginning” songs..
*sigh*
i dunno bout you guys but i like his rap..
deep meaning..
yeah!~ just f**k off..
stop hurting the boys in any possible way..
By: dingding on November 29, 2010
at 6:26 am
“is this the rap chunnie wrote in like 10 minutes or something?..sigh..”
^I hope it wasn’t though if it was, I’ll be a good fan and say that Chunnie wasn’t feeling up to writing in the first place. I remember it being around the time word got out that Chunnie was sick and fainted and stuff =(
How being sick and writing in Chungrish is related, I don’t even; I’m just being a fangirl and defending him ^^;;

By: asterfall on November 29, 2010

I don’t take literature but I understand every single sentence.
I like his metaphors
He thinks deep
but the “you’re” and “your” problem ……. is it the technical staff’s problem or what?
By: peiwern on November 29, 2010

@peiwern me to.I like his metaphor. He has passionate thinking. That one reason why i love him.
By: mickyismylove on November 29, 2010
at 5:41 pm
i also feel the same here..of course i love chunnie.and i understand by compose song is the only ways for them to express their feeling..
but i feel something not safe about this lyrics..
it sound full of angry..look like he cant hold anymore…
but please, isn’t it too harsh..i just scare ‘someone’ will bashing them about this..
By: miharu on November 29, 2010
at 3:55 am
I can see where you’re coming from but I think lyrics are rather subjective on how they can be interpreted. The ‘someone’ probably won’t be able to attack them directly with this song since understanding the meaning behind lyrics is all speculation – unless of course JYJ explicitly says this song was talking about so-and-so.
By: asterfall on November 29, 2010

Did they release this written lyrics themselves? Have they already posted the lyrics? or is this fan-made, cause I can barely hear it myself. Besides they work with english speaking stuff, wouldn’t they check his spellings first (then again this could be a typo). And as for bad words, the only one I hear is the “fuck off”, they can totally mute that one in the actual recordings.
By: Chunnaaah! on November 29, 2010
at 6:20 am
During the concert, they had the lyrics typed onto the big screen while they sang – so I’m assuming this is official lyrics. One of the fancams, the person recorded Mission by recording what was shown on the screen. (Check the third last video on this post).
As for the “f*ck off”, is Korea really sensitive about swearing in English? To me, they don’t seem to…know? I’m not implying that Korean media is ignorant (okay, maybe a tiny bit but I don’t mean to offend) but I noticed they sometimes use English hip hop songs with awfully offensive lyrics as a background dance track – and they don’t censor the words where even America censors them. Can’t think of an example right now…But artists also wear offensive shirts from time to time. Example, JJ’s ‘F*ckin My Way’ shirt in Japanese Rising Sun MV. (Word is uncensored…I just thought I will on this post lol)
By: asterfall on November 29, 2010
at 7:57 am
maybe it is official lyric, but it doesn’t mean he’s the one who typed them… it could be the one who typed all lyrics messed up…lol…i’m not trying to defense chunnie here, but that’s a possibility, right ? about the words, well, i guess it’s the only way they could express how they feel since they kept silence all this time, but…yeah, maybe it’s too harsh…

I like the mission song. catchy and addicting in some way.
HOWEVER, the rapping…needs to be CHANGE…if they decided to make it into a digital single for next album or so.
As far as I can tell, korean doesn’t allow curse words to be in the lyrics AND i can guaranteed certain ‘somebody’ *coughSMEcough* will make a fuss about the song being inappropriate to younger audience. even if the word is in english, im pretty sure theyll get a translator to prove it’s a cuss word and banned the song.
Also, i don’t quite understand due to grammars and spellings, what’s it about? HELP PLEASE!
other than that, GO JYJ!

I am not surprise about that, Just worries!!why? because every one known last few month eps last few days before concert, The boys have to handle a lot of bad thing (SM=AVEX, anties..) if like nomal people even adults still very hard to handle, easy to get mental problems and the boy handle very good areadly. They did’t day anything but you can see they sing all kink of motion JJ,SJ cries, sad, ..eps chunnie who have the most emotion in the group, They need some thing to release. But I worries for them don’t know haw long they can handle or control themseft and Dec 7 will they will get more hurt.
Just wish them best I hope can have some body can give them more support, and waarm up their hearts that what the boys need it right now.
Thank you, and sorry for my bad English grammars.

Hopefully, Korea won’t go too spastic on the wear word used in the rap.
If so, I think that would be quite unfair as some bands have used these words in their songs as well. ^^

JJ our adorkable baby when will gravity stop hating you?
But besides the danger factor I think when he falls it is so cute.
Only JJ can continuously fall all the time and still seem cool to his fans hehehehe
But he should be more careful…..if he injures his leg again isn’t it so that he won’t be able to use it ever again? O__O TT__TT Unless it is completely healed now then I give a huge sigh of relief

Haha I think they might be singing “I want you in my plans” instead of “pants”..
Or at least I hope so haha! And wow, YC’s rap is HOT. It kinda makes sense if you read between the lines perhaps..It’s an open interpretation! Literature helps (;
JJ’S FALL IS EPIC, totally reminded me of the time when he fell into a hole during the hug performance and the members didn’t realise!^^ but he looked so cute when he fell and got up. heh

well i can see that you’re worried but honestly i think their song are really good ^^ have some faith and confidence in our boys~~~they excel in vocal in my opinion no doubt =) it’s just that i think the weather was too cold makes the nose fuzzy then their voices come out weird? XD haha but i think they did themselves very good esp fallen leaves, nine and all the new songs are GOOD! but imma agree with u with the nutritionist! JJ AND MICKY IS TOOO SKINNY =((( eat more~~~
By: chocogurl on November 29, 2010
at 9:56 am
I’m not saying that the boys did badly, quite the opposite actually. the boys can really sing, but…they do not use their voice to the full potential. Yoochun has a lot of power and he lacks control and practice. Jae needs to take care of his voice, it sounds a bit rusty. Junsu.. I don’t know lol he’s good already, just have to watch it and not overdo with high notes. this needs to fixed because the world is freaking competitive.. there are many better singers and dancers than these boys. they have to give their best to the world and have to work their potential so the world can really appreciate them as artists, not just us, fans.
about Yoochun’s English…. I don’t know what to say. just that he needs a teacher as much as JaeSu, but more in terms of practice and grammar ‘cuz his understanding seems to be pretty good (while JaeSu need to learn everything lol) and someone has to fix their songs!! and diet too!! I am so worried TT_TT

well i’m not good with music listening or whatsoever XDDD well i’m sure they’re always improving =D so i think they themselves should know what’s their mistakes or what are they lacking >< though they need to put more meat in their bones~
By: chocogurl on November 30, 2010
at 11:09 am
I think YC’s rap is rite at some point but the writing on the screen is just bad
“put my head down your way”-> “put my head out you’re way”= ????????
and they put “cream” instead of “scream”when YC actually sang “scream”
But indeed, he needs to work on his grammar
By: KissChunnie on November 29, 2010

Somehow i agree with u, we (fans) love them
even their flaws, but it isn’t enough. They must
keep improving themselves along with their
great names.

standard too…..that’s just my opinion, can u
imagine what music industry think?

that was not bias, my dear. I had enough of music classes and growing in a musician’s family to realize the difference between quality of voices. If you want to discuss Junsu, I would say that his technique is very good, much better than JaeChun’s but I do not find his voice attractive whatsoever.
By: laylay7 on November 29, 2010

By: anya on November 29, 2010
at 3:00 pm
@ lay: ah the good music class excuse. i study at juilliard and i still disagree with you. i’m not going to argue further, though, because – regardless of musical training – one’s opinion on another’s vocal skills is nothing but subjective. we’re just going to have to agree to disagree.
@ anya: i’m trying to say this as nicely as possible, but your comments never make any sense. your grammar is pretty atrocious.
By: kou on November 29, 2010
at 3:37 pm
@kou ok. you tell me I am biased towards Junsu. I reply that, no, I think he has his flaws as well. sorry I’m confused lol I do not see your opinion so I do not know what you’re disagreeing about ><''
By: laylay7 on November 29, 2010
at 4:21 pm
@Laylay7
Having music classes and coming from a musical family does not automatically make you a qualified music critic. I have a friend who majored in Music in college, this friend thought Celin Dion’s voice wasn’t good enough. Celin Dion! And to me, someone who doesn’t even have the voice to sing normal songs much less major in music, thinks Celin Dion has one of the greatest voice in history. My point, having music shoved in your ears from infancy can actually damage your good listening ears. Musical taste is subjective just like beauty. Every kind of taste is subjective. Besides there isn’t one kind of music in america. They can choose to not sing balads. I don’t hear people complaining about bow wow or Nelly’s voice or black eye peas’ for that mater. I’m sure if they need improvement, they’ll acquire it.
By: Chunnaaah! on November 30, 2010
at 3:03 pm
I think your placing too much emphasis on america at the moment. I agree with the things they need to work on if they are really pushing for a legitimate debut and charting power there, but I’m not convinced that they are looking to do that yet…if they were they’d stay in america for a prolonged period which they don’t seem to be doing. No one debuts in America by just coming there for spurts at a time and doing a small concert tour. They’d have to do what they did in Japan, stay and network, train, etc. Right now several markets that they are comfortable in are closed to them, so english is an out. Yes, they do need to improve in these areas but I’d be more worried if I felt America was really the focus of this album, but I don’t think it is.
By: loveX2 on November 29, 2010

I am talking from a Western perspective, I admit it. so that is the difference between cultures, I believe.. the boys may have different priorities and most probably have simply no time to keep themselves in check. Just thought to point out the things I start to notice lately… ><
By: laylay7 on November 29, 2010

Jaejoong’s tweet:
“For all the things and situations that we’re doing currently are very unfamiliar, tiring and taxing.. For that much of adversity, hardships that are happening continuously, it is tough to shove everything aside. However, there’s something that’s familiar.. Those people who are in front of me and who love us so much. Until the moment I die, for these people, I have this thought that I need to devote to work hard.. Through this love, we’ll work harder and advance further.”
…so they are so aware that there are so much to work for….and they are challenged with many unfamiliar things..one of those is for sure the english language…all i can say is GOOD LUCK JYJ, with amazing talents i know you can achieve what your heart desire.

I really like the Mission song but the English is a HELLZ NO!!!! I want them to release this song in English in the US/Europe because I think it’ll stand a really good chance there of succeeding. But with those lyrics they’ll become a joke! >. shake it
you make me feel shock (B2ST reference?) –> you make me feel sharp
bulah bulah sound –> holler holler sound
watching baby –> watch out, baby
As for the rap, it’ll have to be re-written en, but this what I heard the first time, without the aid of the lyrics was something like this:
Put your hands up then put ‘em top on me
Let go ‘o the simple life and holla like you’re in the scene
This game is running high like sex and we be treatin’
ourselves just like it’s Halloween
…(didn’t quite catch this part)…

Not sure about these “official” rap lyrics. For Chun’s Japanese songs, like Shelter, they had official lyrics which were definitely wrong. I thought that someone made the lyrics based upon their best guess in listening to the song, not from Chun’s written wording. Could be the same here.
Btw, someone mentioned “theory of porno” as a joke. But I think it is so insightful. Porn is a form of shelter, just seeking physical pleasure disconnected from a relationship, to keep from being hurt. Thought Chun was so deep to catch that point.

late to update.
it maybe due to LQ vids, but my initial reaction: blank + disappointment. it’s seriously not cute to me anymore with empty word or engrish lyric. beats are ok. can’t catch melodies at the moment clearly so no comment yet on that part.

luckily, the boys have cassies who kindly advise their PR company and probably the boys themselves in regards to spelling errors and grammar checks..
I’ve always have a bit of prob with some korean songs..the melody itself is great and exceptional but sometimes, they are just trying to hard to “westernized” the song..
