Yunho, after Bae Yong Joon, has achieved the record of holding number one spot on Japan’s DVD Oricon charts after 3 years with the MBC television drama he acted as the main character, “Heading To The Ground”.
According to the weekly television drama DVD charts on the 28th, Yunho’s first time acting as main character in the drama “Heading To The Ground” has earned both number 1 and number 2 spots with the individual DVD box sets.
The only Korean drama to ever achieve number 1 and 2 spots on the weekly Oricon television drama DVD charts was Bae Yong Joon’s drama “The Story of the First King’s Four Gods” in 2007. This is the first time in 3 years since a Korean DVD drama has achieved this feat.
In comparison to somewhat low viewer ratings in Korea, “Heading To The Ground” has achieved a milestone in Japan, showing the amount of care Yunho receives from fans.
On another note, Yunho will start acting as the main character, Prince Lee Shin, in the musical “Goong” starting in September.

congrats to yunho…but i heard Iris rating wasnt good as well, they were saying how it was not as good as expected…a lot of the jap dramas werent getting high ratings as well lately, i guess ppl nowadays hasnt been watching tv huh?

I don’t care if u guys hate me for this but the only reason why his drama beat out Bae Yong Joon drama is because THSK activity has been suspended and the Japanese fans misses the members so much they’re buy anything even if it sucks and you all damn well knows HTTG sucks big time. No the drama didn’t get bad ratings because it clashes with Iris or You’re Beautiful it’s because the drama was not good to start with and on top of that Yunho acting was good to begin with.

WHAT THE HEY? No hating please? I’m glad his movie did well in Japan. I believe this has put a spring in his step and a shine in his eye, it has given him some of his confidence back. For that alone I’m hugely grateful. Besides nobody knows what kind of movies the Japaneese like the most. Maybe they like sports dramas better than others, we can’t say.
