If the first half of 2010 was the testing stage for idol-singers-turned-actors, the second half will be a big match between top singers.
With the first half of the year came idol stars like 2PM’s Taecyeon, 2AM’s Seulong, T-ara’s Jiyeon and Eun Jeong as light, comical characters who brought energy to the television screen. However, it can be seen that the latter half of the year will come with a heated battle between K-pop’s top stars Lee Seung Gi and Micky Yoochun (TVXQ).

Following Lee Sung Gi, Micky Yoochun will appear as a Joseon Dynasty pretty boy in September on KBS2 TV. He will appear in ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’, a drama loosely based off the novel ‘The Lives of SungKyunKwan Confucian Scholars’, that is the talk of the town amongst women in their teens and 20s with characters dubbed ‘The F4 of the Joseon Dynasty’.
Micky Yoochun as well as Song Joong Gi and Yu Ah In will play perfect guy Seon Joon, wild and unstoppable Jae Shin and all-round entertainer Yong Ha respectively. Seon Joon (Micky Yoochun) falls for a forbidden love, cross-dressing Yoon Hui, and is expected to bring some funny scenes to the drama.

Yoochun’s a super rookie while Lee Seung Gi… well, he’s not the best but he’s good as an “idol-actor”, he has much more experience and Shining Inheritance is daebak (though I’m not really like him in the drama, Han Hyo Joo outshined all!). And obviously Seung Gi’s drama has more potential, Hong sisters and Shin Min Ah are really something while SKKS, seriously, people (or at least Korean) always think that it’s Micky Yoochun’s drama and have no idea about the staff, PD, scripwriter, etc… Yoochun is the most well-known and the main of all attention. If the drama doesn’t get good ratings, Yoochun will get all the blame for sure. He has too much pressure so don’t burden him with your extreme expectations, let him feel comfy to do his job.

Yoochun is like the center of all attention about SKKS, and a small plus is that it is based on a bestseller novel, thats all , i also have no idea about the PD and writer , are they good and famous ????? while Lee Seunggi’s drama, everything seems so good , the cast and Hong sisters and the story about Gumiho , what do u want more ??? thats why i really hope Yoochun’s girl in the drama is someone who has some reputation and good acting , when i heard Jung Dayoung was cast , i feel a bit dissapointed but she’s really pretty so…^^ but now Dayoung gave up the role , i really hope that Shin Sekyung or Moon Chaewon will take it, they’re good, pretty and popular but still so young and refreshing!
Yoochun must feel the most pressure , i really hope he feels comfortable so that he can be natural with his acting!!!!! dont burden him too much!!!!! about the ratings , i dont expect much, around 10% is already good for me !!!!!^^
anyway , wish all the best for Yoochun and SKKS !!!!!! i personnally really like Yoochun’s acting , its calm and subtle and not awkward , its different from the way idols act nowadays.

for me lee seung gi’s drama just ok not awesome…when I try to watching shining inheritance errrrr I dont feel the chemistry between seung gi n han hyo joo but yeah he definitely can act is just no to good…and for chunnie since this is the first time for him to have a big role in such a big drama,,I cant help my self to not feel worry….well hope for the best for both of them….

i like Lee seungi for 2days 1 nite. But his drama Shining Inheritance…er i still havent finished it yet..stuck at ep 4. Yoochun obviously cant be compare to him since he is not an actor and still rookie.. seungi is like korean ‘s son. Most of ajumma love him. While our chun is well known as our sweetheart..

poor yoochun always got compared! I think Changmin is lucky or protected by SM not to get all the critisism and comparism. but somehow I respect Yunho in this aspect, he is still in love with his character and proud of his hard work. It is better yoochun and Changmin think that way too.

where did u get this information? u are just generalizing. changmin’s drama isnt air because they havent finish filming due to other actors being busy with other dramas. there was an article about this way back if i dont remember wrong

Anyways, Good luck to Yoochun. Although I don’t like comparisons much, but let’s think of it as good promotion for Chunnie. Getting more people to anticipate that drama means more viewers. =)

unless you have a reliable source to back your statement up, pls don’t write such speculative comments here about changmin’s drama and create unhappiness for his fans.
with the high calibre production crew behind this drama, i doubt any broadcaster would not want to show this drama. there is no reason for them not to.

I watched LSG’s drama and I don’t think he is that oustanding but he definitely can act. Moreover he has more experience, no bias but I prefer Chun’s facial expression in Beautiful Love ^^.
But I am worried coz if it was not good than all the blaming will be on Chunnie and that is so unfair!
The plot of SS is not really good but I hope everything will be fine.
