Ever since 3 TVXQ members Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu filed an application disposition to terminate their exclusive contract effect, the future of TVXQ is not yet resolved. For all TVXQ fans who wish the group not to be disbanded, this ongoing period is sure a stuffy situation.
However from the recent happenings about this group, seems that there are three possible choices TVXQ may needs to choose in the future.
1. The expiration contract with AVEX in following June and a farewell concert which will be their last concert both in Japan and Korea (we all know the farewell concert is from Sports Nippon article. MyDaily also put the official stand from both AVEX and SM which denied this, but to see the fact TVXQ contract does actually expire in June, this option is seen as possible).
2. Since now the name of Dong Bang Shin Ki is owned by SM, so there’s a chance that the group will continue to work separately as 3:2 team in Korea, however for activities in Asian market including Japan, they’ll team up as five members to work together.
3. The option that most of TVXQ fans wish, having a final reconciliation and a dramatic agreement.
Since SM Entertainment has always been saying, “We want the 3 TVXQ members to return, and let’s having a frank talk together.”, there’s always a chance for both parties to be able to form an amicable settlement before any legal decision shall be made. This is indeed what the fans desperately wish for.

of course the first is the worse, the seconf is bad toooooo 3:2 in korea and 5 in japan but theu sure won’t be allowed to communicate, then we wouldn’t like 3:2 and the last one dramatic agreement…

Yea! I only heard they tried to register for trademark for dong bang shin ki again since they failed the first time… Do they have trademark rights now? Frankly, I don’t understand how they could have failed the first time… Anyhow… Trademark protections lasts forever… Grr!

the failed at the first attempt becoz they tried to patent the words Dong Bang Shin Ki which are actually common words that shall be used by everyone and cant be patented (word ‘Dong Bang’ is quite common use in Korea)
the second attempt they tried to own the chinese writing of DBSK, the style to write TVfXQ!, and the members’ stage names.

sorry, must say this, they are filing for trademark, not patent (its like copyright for inventions and stuff)… 2 different things.
anyhow… what you said does make sense though. their 2nd attempt should be easier now that DBSK, and TVfXQ (even dong bang shin ki) is now very much associated with the group. their first attempt was a general name, not even descriptive. so of course it would be hard to obtain the trademark back then.

SM were awarded the rights to the name already? That complicate things a bit…Does this include the acronym TVXQ? How about Tohoshinki?
I think the contract expiring on June is factual as I remembered during their Budokan concert (2007) there were articles in major media reporting about their Japanese contract being extended for another three years…thus, the year 2010.
Doesn’t reveal much that we don’t already know. Although, Option 3 sounds like its straight out of a melodramatic movie script, it is the most ideal.
Whatever the outcome, I just hope that they will continue to remain friends…

seriously you know how harsh is the music industry… don’t ever think about homin will join jaechunsu and separate with SM, instead hope that there’ll be a change/agreement/reconciliation with SM. Remember what Shinwa’s Andy said, making your own way apart from your company is 10 times harder than debut…

No doubt that the fan wants them to work together as a group not just only in Japan but in every countries. This might create pressure towards the boys because they know what the fan desire but I think that the boys really want to work together without any conflict and pressure from their company.
So, I hope that they can find the best solutions in which both parites agree in term of satisfactions and benefits.
But for now, all I really want is the boys to be happy. Being selfish once in a while is not a bad thing, just follow your heart and do what you think is best for you and people around you.
However the final result is, I believe that all the fans will always cheer you up and support all of you.

If they will be able to settle this between them and SM, that would be nice. But I hope that JCS won’t give up and just let the whole issue go because they deserve a better contract. Somehow though, it seems almost impossible that SM would agree to the terms that JCS would want. Naturally I want them all to be together as DBSK but not in a way that will hurt them. They should always pursue what they want and what they deserve.

All i want is for them to be happy, thats what we all want!
No matter how much it hurts us we have to let them go. Its their life and they can do anything with it.
They cant always be there for us. and we cant always be there for them, but we will try since its our job to keep faith in them and just pray for the best.
It’ll be a great lost if they disband and no matter what their descition is we will support it.
They just need to know that we love them and we’ll always be there for them.

I don’t like any of the options. It’s hard for me to think that DBSK will be in the hands of SM if the outcome is the 3rd option. After all they’ve been through it’d hurt JaeChunSu to work with SM.
I really want them to be a five again but if it means that JaeChunSu and YunChang perform awkwardly together like they have been, I hope they don’t push themselves for the sake of the fans.
I want them to be happy even if it hurts the thousands of people that love them.

nah i dont like any of the options…they should include the option where “SM will comply to the trio’s wants and changed their contracts, or all of their artists contracts will be changed to new, then TVXQ activities in korea will resume” tsk…too good to be true^^..
