“They are not Hallyu stars!”

The term ‘Hallyu stars’ refers to celebrities who are already popular in Korea, yet they go to other countries (including Japan) and hold a short-term event in the destination country to get more income and fans.

And they (TVXQ) are not Hallyu stars!
They are local stars! (T/N: from word ‘localization’)

What does mean by local star is… the artists must go along with Japanese method/system, make debut as rookies in J-POP and do entertainment activities according to system that is ruled for rookie in the local industry. Regardless the treatment they have for their star status in their home country, these artists have to work hard and make all great efforts as rookie.

The term ‘Hallyu stars’ have also been recognized in Japanese entertainment industry, therefore for a program from such big TV channel, the program officials should have been more careful and look for more understanding on the differences between localization and Hallyu.

These protests and opinions from Cassiopeia were revealed through a preliminary survey before the broadcast, however since the broadcast time is approaching thus program officials couldn’t modify the program’s content in sudden, SBS offered to write apology sentences for having mistaken in describing TVXQ as Hallyu stars on their homepage and will also display news ticker about the protest directly during the broadcasts.

  2. cassiopeia have the full right to be angry
for me , i consider that
dong bang shin ki are a korean group in koreaand tohoshinki are a japanese group
    dbsk and tohoshinki fighting

  3. OMG korean cassies are amazing
i wish i could be there and do what they are doing for the boys
    cassies fighting ^^

  4. love cassies <3

  5. totally not hallyu stars. i consider them as Japanese already. and yeah cassies never fail to amaze me. damn proud of this great fandom. and they are not idols. they are artistes!

  6. its already 12.09 in seoul rite now so maybe the show had shown already?

  7. Fufufu…they’re sounding what we’ve been complaining….amazing cassie…

  8. cassies r absolutely right~ if dbsk went as hallyu stars they wouldnt hav had to work so hard~ dbsk went from rookies to top stars in japan! they definately did not ride on the korean wave~

  9. True, dbsk are not hallyu stars in Japan cause they didnt use and borrow their fame in Korea to venture out into Japan ent industry, instead they started out just like any rookie Japanese artist and gain respect for being recognised as J-pop artist.

However, Hallyu could be applied to them when they are promoting in Southeast asia and other parts of Asia but not Japan. But in Japan, They are not hallyu, they worked hard to get the recognition as J-pop stars.

  10. I know cassies in Korea maybe known as these really “obsessive and overprotective” of DBSK and many people complain about that. However, I feel grateful because of Cassies, many people are afraid to mess with our boys, so I’m not complaining. That what makes people to think twice before hurting them.

Korean Cassiopeias are actually smart and mature. They stand up for the boys and before I joined this fandom, I’ve never seen any fanclub in this world that are as dedicated as Cassies are. I bet DBSk are proud of Cassiopeias despite how other people (antis, non-fans) view them.

    • Yes @madiyunhojunsu: ”makes people to think twice before hurting them. ” Korean Cassies is still the best spokesperson for our boys more than any bodyguard :) love u K-Cassies, Hwaiting!

  11. Go Cassies!

  12. cassies are amazing! Go cassies!!

  13. yes , this should happen , when the news came b4 , i was really mad of term *hallyu * , wish they will apologize on air ,,

    go go cassies ,,

  14. way to go cassies!!!

  15. even though i understand why this offends them, & the two terms are indeed a big difference, i still feel that they should ‘tone’ down a little, i guess. you can say i worry too much, but i always think if things like this keep going on, the people will eventually be fed up & give up on DBSK-related shows in general…idk :x just my thought. to me its more like an unintentional error :s

  16. I am glad that Cassies let them know that our boys are not hallyu stars. I have been saying it for some time now. Finally somebody tells them. Hopefully they don’t get called that anymore.

  17. Go cassies!!! I lovee these girls ^_~ gahhh they’re soo rite our boyys aren’t “hallyu stars” pshhh ahaha I want me a muffin… And chunniee lol ^_^

  18. good…they are not hallyu stars indeed!!

    tfs~

  19. I Love Cassiopeia,,

    The Best Fanclub Eveeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  20. Hallyu is like an ice..melts after the heat..and gone..forgoten…

but The Boys are NOT..they even rooting into everyones heart from very begining..climb to the Top…

geezz..even primary kidz could see the different…

hope this could be a lesson for K-Media Ent..Never understimate our boys especialy the fans..

  21. Go Cassiopeia!!

Go DBSK!! fighting boys..we’re on your side..

  22. cassies have the power to do anything!! … and yes, TVXQ is absolutely, unquestionably, not a hallyu star!!!!! .. HEAR THAT SBS … xD …the last part was just to satisfy myself the need of saying something, therefore i nothing against SBS(.. maybe :P ) ..

but generally, TVXQ is not a hallyu star! .. i mean k-ent always says there are idol groups or whatever .. but they are actually based on qualities!!! … (not quantities xD) … not just how they look! .. yes, im mad!!!!!!!!!
