There was a poll on daum on which idol stars of today would go on to become successes in the entertainment business even after their group breaks up. The comments next to the names are the general consensus of people who took part in the poll (more than 12,000).
1. U-Know Yunho – Netizens see him acting in the future, they see his skills improving and called him one of the best looking stars.
2. Micky Yoochun – More of a singing career, with his charming persona and voice he is sure to win hearts.
3. G-Dragon – 2nd Seo Taiji – that’s what they’re calling him. Hate him or love him, you can’t ignore him. His groups success is due to him in a big way. His producing skills will only improve and they expect big things in the future.
4. T.O.P – Most see him acting in the future, again similar to Yunho – people commented on his looks and his acting skills improving.
5. Sunye – 2nd Lee Hyori, JYP intended for her to be a solo performer but she chose to be in a group. Netizens said when they thought of Wonder Girls they thought of her. Her looks, stage presence and superior skills will make her a force to reckon with.
6. Taeyeon – with her superior vocal skills , most people are calling her the rising ballad queen. Her cute image and talent are much loved.
7. Yoona – SM has shown that she is more of an actress, with her girlish image most see her being one of the biggest korean actresses of tomorrow. They think she will be in the league of actresses like – Jeon Ji Hyun, Kim Tae Hee.
8. Shiwon – Great looks, decent acting skill and a good boy image that endears him to all.
9. Hyun Joong – His acting debut has already seen people warming up to his solo efforts in the future, they see him acting. More mention about his looks and quirky personality.
10. Han Seungyeon – the member who stands out the most in Kara, they talked about her cute image, personality. But some commented that they weren’t too entirely sure about her ability to go solo.

I think YunSu has the biggest probability of making it big in Korea, since Yunho is so damn competitive and Junsu’s voice is <3. But Yoochun will be raking in the dough composing songs for Junsu and many others in the bg. And Jaejoong will be uber famous in Japan doing whatever he darn well pleases, whether it's singing, acting, looking pretty. Changmin….will go back to school? Honestly I don't know about this guy sometimes, the most mysterious of them all.

yeah whats with the aft the grp breaks up. its a sensitive period now but so glad cassies are supporting the boys like crazy. although HTTG is not a very popular show (as in the ratings), i can see yunho improve in every episode. tremendous improvement and he doesnt seem to be a rookie. they continue to excel when going solo but when the 5 are together as DBSK, they just conquer the world. cant wait for minnie’s drama and i hope ppl wont start comparing it with yunho’s show.

Very very interesting poll result. Especially JJ & Junsu not in the top ten.
I also think Yunnie will head to the acting route, but he ranks first in the list is still a surprise. Not because he is not improving his acting skill but seems that his popularity is not as high as JaeChuSu in Korea ( just according to the number of fan club members of Daum ). Moreover, the competition in acting field is extremely keen.
But I think he will doing great in China, his personality & looks fits Chinese taste.

actually Yunho’s status is close to god-like in Korea as the leader of dbsk. a friend of mine told me, general public outside cassiopeia didn’t give a damn to the other members except for yunho. they see him as a very handsome and charismatic person. entertainment bigwigs love him too that’s why they thought he has the most potential to succeed post-dbsk. but i don’t want them to break up forever. it’s good to have solo projects but i like them together the most!

I can understand why Yoochun is on top 5, I consider him the best composer among DBSK, and that (at least for me) is a very important trait for a solo artist~~
but as an artist? C’mon, it should definitely be Junsu or Changmin! If you look at Junsu closely, Su on stage is a completely person on stage; Chun is absolutely right when he said that Junsu holds charisma when on-stage. And his voice can give you chills long down the spine!
Jaejoong lovers: massive criticism of his singing skills upfront, so please stop reading now – You’ve been warned! I don’t want any bashing – this is just my personal opinion on their abilites.
Jaejoong, Yunho and Yoochun (and I’m a Chun lover) are nowhere close to the power Changmin has in his voice; and Junsu’s range is pretty good as well – his high notes are way better than Jaejoongs.
And don’t even start with me about JJ’s voice – when you listen really closely, you’ll find his high notes are not really high notes, but rather screaming.
Have anyone actually noticed Changmins vocal range? He might not be in pop, but he’d definitely have done well as rock artist. Changmin’s famous high note (especially in Wild Soul) is technically what we’d call a head tone – and that is how high tones SHOULD be done.
lol! that was my personal 2 cents on this. Still saddened that Changmin doesn’t get the recognition he should’ve though – he might not be a flatterer like JJ, or charismatic as Junsu, or as responsible as leader-shii, or a dandyboy like Chun, but still! >.<

as far as i’m a yunho fan, i think jaejoong sings the most perfect during live. they dance like crazy on stage and yet jaejoong’s voice is so stable despite he has the most parts to sing. junsu might have a nicer voice than jae, but in terms of live, jaejoong is better in my opinion.
& as much as alot of people state that yunho’s voice is the least skilled in the group (which i kinda agree), there are some ppl out there who likes his voice the best & his voice sounded amazing in songs like One, HMS, and Darkness Eyes.
just bcoz our opinions collide, don’t go thrash ‘em as if your opinions are totally correct, ok? you don’t hafta accept other’s opinion, but it’ll be god if we could all share them (nicely) together.

Lol. of course your opinions are correct in YOUR world. other ppl’s opinions are correct in their world too (&all those who agree along with ‘em,respectively).
i know you dislike jaejoong (or at least, you ‘sound’ like you do), and although you think his vocal range is limited compared to minsu, ALOT (& i mean, ALOT) of ppl out there think he’s awesome in rock. he even has the bon jovi vibe when he sang the secret game. and i personally think minnie sounded way better in live during the secret game in tokyo dome compared to the recording version.
i’m not overly convinced that yunho has the best ‘package’ (& i’m an avid yunho fan here who’s trying to be free from bias), but besides the looks, height and the body, he does have a VERY good personality and is a very good role model to his fans (he sets good examples and avoids controversies & scandals). his competitiveness and leadership qualities really did influence the group’s success, & this attitude of his will be a good weapon to his career in the future if he goes solo (DON’T!!!).

well, I don’t think I dislike JJ. I just REALLY REALLY don’t like his flatterer image – like all those things he say, and you KNOW he says what the ears want to hear -.- On the other side, maybe that’s why Minnie are harder to accept for some – cause he’s so blunt and well, he barely says anything that makes fangirls go crazy (at least compared to JJ).

I’m Yoochun lover too, don’t want to bash.. Changmin is good with high notes, but he is not very good with low ones, so Su and Jae’s ranges look wider to me.. and his control is not perfect at all. he often sounds too loud for example..

Ummm sorry, but no. I don’t agree. I don’t think jaejoong has the best voice and changmin does have range. But, point black, period, Changmin’s voice is not pleasent to listen to by itself. Even though he’s improved tremendously, his and yunho’s voice are still my least favorite.
Yunho is an all arounder, in Korea. In Japan, I honestly don’t think many care. The whole being the “leader” thing is completely over-emphasized. He has improved in acting, but to be honest, I still can’t get through and episode of HG. Yuchun has natural charisma and is a good businessman. He’ll do good anywhere. Junsu will be a SINGER, he’s the best in the group. Chagmin…I don’t know. I’ll wait to see his drama. Jae, could honestly make a lotta money JUST using his looks. Maybe not in Korea, but Japan and China, hell yeah. He could put out crap and they’d still probably buy it. It’s just a fact. Look at people like Hyori. She can’t really sing, and isn’t the best dancer, but she uses what she’s got and makes money. Jae’s good looking and pretty amusing. Honestly, he doesn’t have to do too much to maintain a career.

Not being Jae biased, but I don’t see too many aspects of Jaejoong’s singing ability that I can bash on. His good looks isn’t the reason why he’s the lead singer of the group. Besides, if the thing that makes you sick of Jae is the arguable fact that he’s a flatterer, then that’s really got nothing to do with his singing abilities. Honestly, you just don’t like his voice right? There’s nothing wrong with that though. We all have our own taste, right sweetie?
Until now, one of my most favorite comeback performance of them in Korea is when Jaejoong and Changmin sang “It’s Raining Men” at Yoon Do Hyun’s Love Letter. Their duet was just TOO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! But of course, you dislike Jae’s voice so that performance probably didn’t really leave any impression on you. Hehe. (Changmin and Jae should do more duets besides Jaechun. *gets shot*)

I was thinking about not replying to kill the ball here, but for the sake of my name, I thought I’d clear a few things up (:

don’t assume things about other people if you haven’t talked to them in person ^^ and I assure you, I’m definitely NOT a JJ-hater or anti; I live in North-West Europe, and I had never even heard about the concept of antis until I discovered kpop (and I’m still trying to grasp the concept of it; I mean seriously… who would waste their time to hate someone for the sake of hating them??? :S )

What I meant about JJ, is that, his flatterer-image puts an effective stop for me to want to get to know him better (I dislike flatterers in real life as well, so…), and that’s what you really have to do if you’re gonna become JJ-biased (or anyone biased for that matter).
And of course people have different taste what singing skills are considered; i.e. I read somewhere among the comments here that he has this kind of heavy breathing when he sings (which I completely agree btw), and that bothers me in smooth ballads. Well as for Junsu, he’s voice are more smooth and husky – much closer to all my previous favorite singers.
To be honest with you, I loved JaeMin’s “It’s raining men” cover. For some reason, I think JJ tries harder when they are just two. Just as in the Jaechun duets, he’s voice are much better. Or it culd be that he has improved a lot, like some of the comments said (: I’m just undecided as to what area he’s outstanding (for me!), cause I haven’t found one yet =__=
and minerva, I don’t really think Junsu’s voice can be compared to Justin Timberlake or Nick Carter, because the latter two are not even anywhere close to Junsu (and I had a crush on Nick Carter for like 3 years). We have never really seen him in any other genre than pop and ballad, so we wouldn’t know what his voice’d sound like. I personally LOVE his Xiahtic cause it shows that he has abilities to go beyond his ballad genre, and he’s a decent rapper to – in fact, I loved his rap part in Love Bye Love.
I’m not really sure it’s a bad thing to be compared to Justin anyway; isn’t he like one of THE most popular pop singers in western music industry atm or smthing?

I personally think it’s difficult to love the members equally, since they possess different image, abilities and personalities.
We all have our biases and it comes all to clear when polls like this are being carried out. Yeah, I blame the poll! *sniffles*
Seriously, I think we’ll see who are the real fans and who are only fans just for the sake of their popularity when the lawsuit is over. Only real fans will stay with them through the bad, while the rest….? Meh!

I agree with Yunho & Yoochun…
Yunho can still survive coz he is indeed good looking and we all know that he is the best dancer in SM…
While our Micky Mouse, he has a very good voice…I love it already, i can’t stop loving his voice! And he never fails to make a good song…AH!Here I go again…

i don’t know why everyone is busy comparing the rest of the members … i think we should feel proud that they are actually recognized by the people of Korea …
it doesn’t matter if one of them do not make it to the poll … as long as we know that they each have their own distinct qualities and we love them for who they are ..

As an avid rock fan, I always believe that Changmin will do very well in this genre. He is a natural tenor. While some rock singers hit their high notes with falsetto, he hits them with his chest voice and hold the note. This is very rare even among the great rock tenors. He should really do more rock songs during their solo stage at their tours and perhaps front a JRock band.
Another thing that I admire about Changmin is his talent as a lyricist which I feel is the most underrated about him.

Chillax, it’s just a poll, like any other polls out there. And there are a lot of these, esp at time like this, when all the fuzz’s taking place in the music industry. I don’t think the boys will care about polls like this, and personally, I don’t care as well. They may be very succeed when they do solo but I love them being in group, and I think the boys want to be in group of five too. So thing like “solo” didn’t hold much important to me.

i actually love changmin’s voice ~ both singing and speaking. have anyone ever properly listen to his speaking voice, it is helluva sexy….the kind of voice i can listen to all the time.
changmin is known for high notes, because that is mostly what they make him sing. the few times he sang low, he really impressed me. for those who said he is not good at low notes, you really need to go listen to those rare times he did sing them….he has a very good live voice, my impression of his singing changed after hearing him live and he was amazing and so so underrated, it is not even funny. :/
i am not the biggest junsu fan, but i will pick him as the most likely to succeed as well. objectively, he has everything. almost as long as external factors don’t screw him over that is…..

Imo,some of u seem to have lost sight of the fact that DBSK is a quintet/group!
The very essence of a group is harmony and “collective singing power”!!Every single member is a sub-unit endowed with peculiar voice type. Nobody can be said to be better than the others. That said,its safe to say that our boys all have different strong points – may they be acting skills, special vocal skills or good looks(and once for all,DONT sell Jaejoong short;hes not a mere doll/pretty manga boy!He was picked as lead vocalist cos his vocal timbre blends well with others’ one,which also means hed be able to fit his voice into wotever genre hes exploring).
Wot I love best about our boys is that they think highly of one another and r willing to learn “new talents” from each other!As Ive stressed in another post,they r THE BEST!! <3

wow! completely agree with you^^ DBSK is a GROUP! They complement each other! what I really like about them is the fact that one member never tries to shine more than the others… instead, they help each other and this is how a real group should work!

Polls are based about popularity at this time. Yunho is the only member active in Korea (x) *x=Check*, Yoochun active in Japan (x), MinSu are inactive ( ). BUT Jaejoong is active in Japan (?) so this happens probably because he still doesn´t receive love from Korean Fans T_T
Well, This is my 2 cents
Junsu is good at singing + dancing. Acting: NO!!! He proved that one person doesn´t need to be really good looking like Jaehomin to be loved by fans, he only needs his Kamobutt…LOL + Charisma + pasion in singing. We all agree in how wonderful is his voice.
Although I really like Yoochun´s voice, the problem is his asthma can really affect him. I don´t like his voice in T Concert, he was suffered alot. But now he improved alot too, he was good at TSC Concert. He is also becoming very goog at writing and composing. I find potential in acting department, he is natural to become a romantic guy and he can dropped easily his tears…LOL *Don´t hurt me YC´s fans, I love him too* XD
I also like Chanming´s voice, he can be a rocker. But sometimes he hurts my ears, because his voice is too much, he needs to control his powerful voice. About acting I still need to see his new kdrama before talking, because Banjun Kdramas don´t let a good impresion on me. I laughed alot in AADBSK 3 because of him, he was EVIL Prince Chanming. I don´t understand why he barely speaks in interviews or programs, he doesn´t let the fans love him and get to know his sarcastic personality.
For some reason I think He will leave his career as an artist/idol if TVXQ break up T_T
About Yunho, We all agree that he improved alot his voice, since he doesn´t born with the voice. But he still need more work. I don´t see him as a future solo singer, but MAYBE he can be the next Rain, who knows?..I enjoyed his performance “Checkmate”, he is entertaining…he can dance really good + plus good looking.
I don´t like his role in HTTG, It was very wierd acting for me, probably because I was used to see manly/sexy/serious Yunho and instead appears BB >_>, at least Yunho can gain experience and improve his acting. I hope in future, he choose a better Kdrama, with a better storyline and a good role for him.
Finally Jaejoong. I really like his voice and his versatility. He can sing a balad with his melodic voice and the next song he can be a rocker and put it all, how good is that?. He improved alot in singing too, I used to hear his breathing when he sang, but now he just blow me away in TSC Concert. He is very good looking, his beauty is appealing in many countries. He is very funny and blunt in interviews or shows, in Korea Kang Ho Dong and Jaesuk want him for their respective shows. He is friendly and sociable with other artist (Yunho too) this will help him to get the connections. The only thing he needed is more confidence in himself, I blame this to the Korean Fans, because he and Chanming were despised at the beginning by them.
He is also becoming good at composing + arragment songs. About acting, I still need to see this before talking *I wonder when they will be released Heaven´s Postman, It’s October and nothing yet T_T*
To Nyssaki: Jaejoong is loved in many countries but he and Chanming are very underrated in his own country Korea, so you shouldn´t feel jealous/hatred? towards him.
