Maybe in korea,they love junsu voice but in other country, they may love the other member voices

well, jae is still the lead vocal for the group and nothing will change eventhough the mag chose junsu as the lead vocal… i, myself is a big fan of jae but sometimes it’s ok for us to praise other members…
since their debut, the boys always emphasize that jae is their lead vocal, not other members…
but then, looking back at all the hardship that junsu went through for 6 years just to have the voice that being appraised by people all over the world rite now i think it’s kind of ok for the mag to pick junsu…
i think , at least we should give junsu a little credit & appreciation for his hardwork in bringing joy & happiness to many people with his voice…

thats why even though kry are the lead, they picked ryeowook

But they’ve already taken JunSu there. N i have nothing to say. He deserve to be at the top of all those points. He’s a talented singer. SO talented. Everybody know it right? n we love him.

I stumbled across this thread and read everyone’s comment regarding this article.
IMO, Junsu and Jaejoong are not the only lead vocals of the Shin Ki clan. If we look at all their voices in general, they each are the lead singers in their designated vocal areas. Yunho and Yoochun sing at lower registers because their voices suit those parts more than JaeSu and Min sings at a higher range for the same reason. Just because JaeSu sings most parts of their song makes them the lead singers.
And I believe that the editor for this article misworded the title. I interpret ‘Lead Vocals’ as ‘Vocals that stands out the most in their respective groups’. Before you start shooting me down for this, allow me to explain why I said so. If you listen to SuJu, DBSK, SS501, SNSD, Wonder Girls, BB, SHINee and FT Island songs, whose voices normally stand out the most for you or whose voice can you actually recognise first as opposed to the rest? To me, it would be Ryeowook, Junsu, Youngsaeng, Taeyeon, Sunye, Daesung (this is questionable as I’m not a BB fan), Jonghyun and Hongki. Aren’t these people the same ones as listed above? For some such as Youngsaeng, Tae, Leader Min, Jonghyun and Hongki, they are the lead vocals in their respective groups, But for Dae, Su and Wookie, I believe we all already know who are the designated ‘lead vocals’ in their groups (if you don’t already, it would be Taeyang, Jae & Kyuhyun – I’m not too sure about Kyuhyun but since ‘KRY’ begins with his initial, I assume he must be the lead. Then again the ring to ‘KRY’ sounds better than RKY or YRK or YKR imo
).
But at the end of the day, I don’t see why we should making an issue of who’s the lead vocals, who’s the best etc. etc. Don’t pretend that we can be biased towards our favorites sometimes; I know I am for one *cough Junsu cough*. But I do recognise Jae for his vocals and in fact sometime I prefer Jae’s voice to Junsu’s *is strangled by Junsu*. We may prefer one person’s vocals to another hence it’s very subjective. Imo, Junsu has the longest training hence his singing can get very technical (almost ‘follow by the book’ or training in his case) at times, on the other Jaejoong has more versatile vocals if you ask me; he can pull of any genre with ease (rock, R & B, Trot – you name it and he’s up for it)

n thanks to unnie me now know that jae actually the lead vocal..i thought they have no lead vocal because all of them sings in the songs..everybody sings so there is no lead vocal..hahaha…

Just to make it clear:
ever since their debut, Jaejoong has been picked as the lead vocal. Why do you think that Jae is placed at the middle all the time? Because in a capella group, you need to blend your voice together with the person at the middle who set the base note.
That’s why.
And the person in the middle is called the LEAD VOCAL. Not becoz he’s the best, but he’s the one who mostly set the base note (do u notice that mostly it’s Jae who says “do…” before they sing a capella). As in a capella, all voices have the same importance.
However, if LEAD VOCAL here means BEST VOCAL, then we have nothing to say. The mag can pick whoever they like out of the group.
While I’m sure that SYC thought the word LEAD VOCAL as in term of your role in a group.

Lol, I was like @.@ at the title when I saw it listed Junsu instead of Jae, but the title’s meaning was probably just lost in translation.
The age-old Jae/Su bias again. I think after thinking about it for a really really long time and reading through lots and lots of arguments about these issue (you cannot be a DBSK fan and not have to face this discussion at least once before) I finally decided that what attracted to me was their amazing acapellas together. If any of them was a solo singer, or I heard only one voice, then I would’ve been bored within a couple of songs. But because they can harmonize, because they can make 5 distinct voices blend it one beautiful sound, I’ll forever be entranced by their music. Anything in between, be it titles, names, “bests”, are all just technicalities.

The lists’ ok, just another korean media’s obsessiveness in ranking their idols/celebrities based out of nothing. In reality categories like ‘best voice’ is a highly subjective topic (no such list in the west, japan, etc – too much of a joke spec it it were non-idol–;;) Everyone have their own personal criteria, like i have high regards to rockers and dont like singers that squeek, exaggerate their singing, or sounding like a child (specially for males 18+) but enough of that. Some folks are just lucky they get to have their pick and get it published at a magz or broadcasts their ranking on tv (againrealitycheck : you don’t need to be einstein to decide what’s best in music, good pair of ears and love of music would do it). Anyways, about the ‘lead’ issue -no comment- they could choose who over they want [shrugs] tvxq is a vocal group, not a band

I may be biased. but i initially liked jj for his looks and singing. then i heard junsu’s vocal and it blew me away, so now i’m a junsu fan.
I think the article didn’t know who the main/ lead singer was or was just too lazy to search.
but if you think about it….why would they pick junsu over jaejong? why not mickey/yunho/changmin? the fact that they mistakenly took junsu as the main vocalist can mean one thing——> that he just might be good enought & perceived as the best voice in the group. This issue can be looked at lightly with just saying…oh the mag is dumb and can’t even pick the RIGHT member to compare…aww too bad for jj. Or if you look more deeply and ponder about it….maybe junsu is just so much better that he sticks out the most. THis is solely my opinion.
